Willy B released: read what really happened!

Until his arrest in May, Port Harcourt based musician Willy B was the manager of Jack's Bar(a PHC nightclub along Aba Rd).

Willy B,was finally released last week Thursday at about 6pm, after spending a month in incarceration, without trial or sentencing by the law court.

He told me his story yesterday evening in a chat I had with him.

He started working with Jack’s bar 16^th February and until his arrest on May 12,  he never knew if his managing director was affiliated with criminal operations.

A very concerned friend of Mr. Williams Asuquo a.k.a WILLY B, asked me to help send this message.

Willy B is  a Port Harcourt based musician who sang 'Excuse me Shorty make we dance she say I be original Kpako featuring Double K'. He also did the song 'Na God, Na God, and recently another  with Kelly Handsome titled business Man. He performed at the Silverbird Children's Party at the Silverbird Gallerie not too long ago and his music videos are on air across the country.

His arrest story goes this way:
He was working with Jack's Bar(A PHC nightclub along Aba Rd) as the Manager, until few weeks ago when he reported for duty and discovered that the Police had come and arrested everyone at the bar including customers, so he got a lawyer and went to the State Anti Robbery Squad to bail his colleagues, but on getting there, him and the lawyer were arrested and detained.

House of Reps pass Bill against Homosexuals.

He says he's a refugee sha.

It seems that Nigeria is about to join the list of African Nations on  abolishing Gay rights.

I used the word, 'about to' because while the Lawmakers may have passed the bill, our president, brother Jonathan is yet to approve it to become law.

This bill has been in the works since 2006.

when that finally happens, the crackdown on Homosexuals will be tough, I suggest you relocate if you are in Nigeria, because lets face it, nobody will understand 'you were born that way' here or that you have excess of that hormone or whatever it is that makes you so.

Well this is what the Law Makers had to say :

"Persons who enter into a same-sex marriage contract, or civil union commit an offence and are each liable on conviction to a term of 14 years in prison," the bill says.
"Any person who registers, operates or participates in gay clubs, societies and organisations or directly or indirectly makes public show of same-sex amorous relationship in Nigeria commits an offence and shall each be liable on conviction to a term of 10 years in prison."

Coming back from school that day like any other, I was seated by the window, just as I liked it, we ‘town kids’ usually scrambled to sit by the window, and If those seats were taken, I wouldn’t mind waiting for the next bus just to get that window seat, but on this particular day, that was the wrong seat for me.

I noticed that the man sitting beside me kept shifting and turning. Initially, I thought he was uncomfortable because I was ‘lapping’ my little sister and my big school bag with a lot of junk in it, was also taking a little space just at my feet. So I shifted to create more space for him, only to have him place his hand on my thighs. I didn’t know how to react or if I should react. I didn’t understand but I knew something wasn't right, I was just an 8 year old in primary 4 and just wanted to get home.

Melvin and Ada represents Nigeria #BBATheChase

I know that I may sound stale right now,but I'll still talk my own .Could not  watch the launching of the new edition of Big Brother Africa Season 8 : The Chase,  I ported to the Eko Hotel for the Beyond Music concert, would tell you guys all about it later.

Talking about the duo representing Nigeria in this new edition of Big Brother Africa reality show,
one thing I'm happy about is that this time around, we are going to be represented by two hotties, who seem to understand the pressures of the media world already, seeing as one is a video 'vixen'  and model, Miss Ada Beverly Osu, who believes she's a go-getter who can adapt in any situation.

While the other, Melvin Oduah who was a runner - up at the Gulder Ultimate Search and Mr Nigeria in the 2011 edition. he seems  calm, cool and collected ,this brother has seen the hard part of reality show, in the bush, so I expect him to be able to think smart and fast while in this one, and also seen the sexy side of it too, as Mr Nigeria first runner up.

This to me seems like 'sexy n fierce + sexy and cool = ?' we shall be watching ( that's if I manage to pay for Dstv Subscription sha)

I wish them both well, and please don't make the house boring...

Suicide Jumper Kills 5 year old girl.

 I just saw this online, it actually took place on wednesday (22-05-2013)

A 39 year old suicide jumper in Busan, a Port city in South Korea, killed a 5year old girl during his plunge to death from the 11th floor of his apartment building, while he died instantly, the girl however died later from her injuries,broken bones and brain damage at the Hospital she was taken to. The investigators are still unclear about his reasons for jumping.
Statically, South Korea has the highest suicide rate in the world.

This innocent 5 year old was walking along the sidewalk with her parents, just had the misfortune to be at the wrong place at the wrong time.

It seems like Uche Obodo 'dey binu', over AfroCandy's statement to cast her in her new movie, the actress says she's not a porn star and feels totally insulted by AfroCandy.
Here's how Vanguard Reported it :

"Following last week’s offer by  American based Nollywood actress, Judith Okpara Mazagwu popularly known as Afrocandy to feature  Uche Ogbodo and two other Nollywood actresses in her next soft porn flick, the fast rising actress has replied the former, stating that she ‘s not a porn star.
Afrocandy recently disclosed her plans to star Ogbodo in her next porn flick on her facebook page. She recently  released the trailer of her latest soft-porn movie, Destructive Instinct where she was completely nude in sexually explicit positions.
Reacting to the offer, Ogbodo warned the controversial porn flick producer, stating emphatically that she is an actress and not a porn star.

I read this story and I was like...what???? (-___-)...so what will I na say?what will I do then? *inserts background music* : I'm sexy and I know it.

From what I gathered from her story, Laura Fernee, who is 32, a PhD degree holder  , and single, said she had to stop working, because she was constantly hounded by men at her work place asking her out on dates, leaving romantic messages at her desk, and e.t.c, because of her good looks. How to Use a Fire Extinguisher.

In the event of a fire , what will you do?

Do not play with fire! Lives, businesses,cars, important documents, e.t.c. have been lost in fire.

How many of us, really know how to use a fire extinguisher? or how to react in the event of an emergency? not every one, but as a trained safety officer, I'll like to share this and make it not too long and boring, calm down, you'll learn something.
It may come in handy someday,  (you can thank me later).

I won't go into all the classes and types of fire and types of extinguishers (there are links below you can refer to for that), I will only tell you what a rookie is supposed to do in case of an emergency.

First thing: Do not panic...oh yes, hard as it may sound, go against all your natural instinct, do not run, do not scream, do not faint...try to be calm.

So the Swaziland authority has banned witches from flying above 150meters because they are disturbing .

It has been a long time since witches were burnt at the stake in Europe but the accusation remains a serious one in the landlocked African country.
