Bomb Threat : The Palms Shopping Mall, Lekki.

Report I just got now ,and called in for confirmation points to a bomb threat at The Palms shopping mall in Lekki. With Shoprite and The Game being targeted , both shops are closed now, and investigation is being carried out by a bomb squad. Evacuation in process now as you read this. Although other shops are still open and functioning.

8 to die by hanging in Imo State.

I just saw this on Vanguard and thought to share with you all, read about plain wickedness ( not that wickedness come in shades though).

"Imo State High Court presided over by Hon. Justice C.M.I. Egole, has sentenced eight persons to death by hanging for their alleged involvement in the brutal murder of an ex-police officer, Nze Dominic Ohamadiaku Duru, from Izombe, Oguta lcal council area of the state.

C.A.N official Killed after declaration of 'State of emergency in Borno state'

New information I just discovered on Xinhuanet reports that in:

 "MAIDUGURI, Nigeria, May 14 (Xinhua) -- An official of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has confirmed the killing of the state secretary of association, Rev Faye Pama Musa in the trouble Nigeria northeast Borno State by suspected Boko Haram gunmen.

Breaking News: President Goodluck Jonathan declares : A state of emergency in , Borno, Yobe and Adamawa States!

The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, has declared a state of emergency in the following States;  Borno, Yobe and Adamawa, this was done to quell the rising Terrorist activity in these areas, he declared the immediate deployment of the armed forces in order to restore peace to these troubled areas and to the unity of our country.

He addressed the Nation at his 7pm broadcast,

Asari - Dokubo sued over 'Treasonous' statement !

Last Saturday (11-05-2013) , I posted a report I saw on Vanguard about 'Bros' Asari's declaration of no peace, if President Jonathan does not remain at the helm come 2015.

Well an Abuja based NGO has decided to take matters into their hands and sue Asari.

This articled was featured in Vanguard online paper today.

Here's what it says:

ABUJA—ANTI-Corruption Network, a non-governmental organisation, yesterday, filed a suit against former ex-militant leader, Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo-Asari, for treason over his recent statement on President Goodluck Jonathan’s re-election in 2015.

The Executive Secretary of Anti-Corruption Network and former member of the House of Representatives, Dino Melaye, revealed this to journalists at a press conference held at the organisation’s headquarter in Abuja.

Melaye said: ”This morning, my lawyers instituted a case against Asari-Dokubo, that Nigeria will be made ungovernable if President Jonathan isn’t re-elected in 2015.”

Meanwhile, Melaye has also accused the Presidency of using oil blocks to woo Rivers State House of Assembly legislators over an alleged plan to impeach Rivers State governor, Chibuike Amaechi.


Gigi's take on this:
 Treason is a big word with a very heavy meaning.
 I can't recall a cased being filed against Buhari when he made similar statement.

Angelina Jolie's decision : Double Mastectomy.

In an article published by Angelina Jolie in the New York Times on May 14th , 2013 (Today) , titled "My Medical Choice"

The 37 year old renowned actress and mother of six, reveals that she had a double mastectomy ( Mastectomy : Its a surgical removal of one or both breasts) earlier this year to reduce her risk of breast cancer after being diagnosed as highly susceptible to the illness.

Here's what she wrote:

Quite Frankly, until her recent outburst over her co-star actor's threat (After hin say e no do again, comot the video)  to her new 'movie' I have never heard of this  'Barbie'.
